In 1997, a special G.R.I.N. family, Larry and Maria Zoul, lost a very precious member of their family, a beautiful and talented golden named Tara Marie. You can read more about this special golden in the September-October, 2007 newsletter that can be accessed in the archive section of the website under "Newsletters."

After Tara's passing on September 5, 1997 to honor her memory, the Zoul's set up a special fund in Tara's name to help senior rescued goldens. It was and currently is funded by the Zoul's. The fund remains active today as a special fund account with G.R.I.N. and has expanded not only to helping seniors, but any unique situation for a G.R.I.N. dog who is in need of financial assistance. Although the fund has a limited amount of money available, it is always available to help a golden in need. Owners of any G.R.I.N. dog in need of financial assistance can apply to this fund for help.

If you have a special need and would like to apply to this fund or have questions, please e-mail treasurer@grinrescue.org with your name, address, phone number and when is the best time to contact you, G.R.I.N. dog's name and ID number, amount of assistance requested and reason for assistance.

G.R.I.N. wishes to thank Larry and Maria for setting up and maintaining this fund in memory of their special golden Tara Marie. Through her, she is and continues to help our G.R.I.N. goldens and keeps the spirit of each golden who has crossed the Rainbow Bridge with her by helping those who still are in need.
