Precious came to G.R.I.N. last summer.  She had been neglected and had a severely deteriorated hip.  Precious was fully vetted and was also groomed.  G.R.I.N. decided that it was essential for Precious to have surgery to correct the hip problem.  In October, she underwent a Femoral Head Ostectomy, which involves the removal of the ball section of the hip’s ball and socket joint. 

The operation was a success.  Precious was soon able to put weight on her leg again…and she began a series of rehabilitation sessions.  She remained cheerful through the process and never lost her sweet disposition.  She is continuing her therapy but is expected to be fine.
