The Gala Committee has started the process of gathering donations for the Silent and Chinese Auctions for our 2012 Golden Gala, and we could use YOUR help.  Do you have a time share, condo or getaway home you would be willing to donate for a week?  Do you have a new item you would like to donate and we will place it in a gift basket and fancy it up for you. Or, make up your own gift basket with a $75 - $100 value and have the pleasure of naming the basket too!

Need some suggestions of what we are looking for….Gift cards, cooking items, sports tickets, gas cards, automotive oil changes or details, TV’s or electronics,  bottles of wine, small appliances (coffee makers, shark floor cleaners, microwaves, food processors, wine coolers), how about manicures, pedicures, haircuts or a day at a spa, or cooking classes.  Let your imagination run wild and help us celebrate G.R.I.N.’s  20th Anniversary, “Still GRIN’ing after 20 Years”  in  style!  Please contact development@grinrescue.org if you have an item to donate and we will make arrangements to pick up your item(s).

The need for G.R.I.N.’s help is greater every year with the continued economic challenges.  Our intake team has been busy and to accommodate the lack of fosters, we’ve had to board many Goldens, which is not ideal for them, and increases our overhead tremendously.  We’ve also seen an increase in seniors who have been neglected for many years due to lack of funds.  In addition to major medical expenses, we’ve had the need for professional behavior assistance, so our Goldens are safe and adoptable to the public.

As our mission continues, the success of the Gala increases since it represents over 20% of our annual operating budget.  We are grateful to our membership for your continued help and will be appreciative of your support in making our 20th year celebration a huge success.  We want to be “Still GRIN’ing for another 20 years”!

Remember Me

Remember Me? Bella

Hi my name is Bella and I asked my mom to send some pictures to you. I am having a great time and love my new home and my new mom. I have been learning how to sit/stay, down/stay, come, off, leave it, walk on the leash, jump, touch, retrieve my ball, and lots more. This learning is fun but I still have trouble remembering it all the time.

I know I will get better it just takes practice. This weekend mom says I am going to learn how to stay in my yard. Then I will be able to run around and chase the ball without having a leash on. I am really good at barking and letting mom know I have to go outside. That's good, cause I get to enjoy the fresh air each time. I also have met my best friend Obie.
