Daisy: Female 4 years old

Daisy has certainly been shuffled around.  Her owner couldn’t keep her; a kind woman stepped in and found her a new home.  That didn’t go as planned and that kind woman took Daisy back so this Golden didn’t end up a statistic.  She loves Daisy (so do her four kids, two dogs and a cat), but with her busy schedule and full house, it wasn’t feasible to keep her.  She’s asked G.R.I.N. to place Daisy in a terrific home; it will be accomplished - that goes without saying!  Daisy is a sweetheart and a true snuggler.  She’d be overjoyed to be in an active home with kids and other animals, or even in a one owner home…she’s not picky.  Daisy just wants stability, some good old-fashioned lovin’ and attention and an owner to call hers.  But…Daisy needs an owner that will follow through on the diet “boot camp” that her foster home has started – sadly she’s about 30 lbs. overweight.  She is going to be so thankful, not to mention feel 100 times better, once that girth is off her frame!  Stay tuned for more updates on Daisy.

Foster Update: 6/28/11

Daisy has been an angel from day one.  She is affectionate, well behaved, and obedient.  She is perfect in every way you would want a dog to be perfect.  I honestly can't say enough good things about her....well, except maybe, the snoring!  Daisy likes men, women, children, other dogs, and cats.  She only gets on the furniture if invited, asks to go out and to come in, is great on lead, accepting of the crate, but doesn’t need it…she is a wonderful girl!

Daisy’s only downfall is that she is overweight.  She loves to walk so exercise is going to be so important to her future health.  She is on a "Boot Camp" diet of high quality dog food; 3/4 cup (2 1/2 oz weighed) twice a day.  She gets ONE training treat/meal, a "puppy" size dog biscuit.  She has already shed a little of the needed weight and is looking forward to her furever home!

fenceDaisy needs to have a fenced environment and would benefit with some obedience training.schoolbus

Remember Me

Bella

Remember Me? Bella

Hi my name is Bella and I asked my mom to send some pictures to you. I am having a great time and love my new home and my new mom. I have been learning how to sit/stay, down/stay, come, off, leave it, walk on the leash, jump, touch, retrieve my ball, and lots more. This learning is fun but I still have trouble remembering it all the time.

I know I will get better it just takes practice. This weekend mom says I am going to learn how to stay in my yard. Then I will be able to run around and chase the ball without having a leash on. I am really good at barking and letting mom know I have to go outside. That's good, cause I get to enjoy the fresh air each time. I also have met my best friend Obie.
