He came to us from a local warden; they believe he was dumped in a park. The sad news is that people reported he was just sitting there, as if hoping his owner would return. He was in bad shape as far as having dirty, stinky fur and his ears were a mess. He most likely will have chronic ear infections. The good news is that Wesley’s thriving in his foster home! He gets along fine with the resident dogs and cats and has excellent manners. All that have met him think he’s delightful!
Foster Update: 2/10/17
Hi everyone! I went and saw the doctor last week and she tried to look in my ears, but It really hurt! My left ear is open but infected, so more meds were ordered. I have some stuff going on with my right ear so she wants me to go to Metro for surgery. My appointment is soon. My foster Mom said that I won't be able to hear out of that ear after surgury but that I will feel much better since I shouldn't have as many ear infections. GRIN's medical director said it was an expensive surgery, so I want to thank GRIN for allowing me to have it. If any of you would like to help with the costs by sponsoring me, that would be wonderful!!!
My foster mom said she would let you all know how I do, so until then....paws crossed!

Hi Everyone! My name is Wesley; at least that is what they are calling me. They tell me I am 8-10 years old, but my foster Mom says I act much younger. The nice policeman that picked me up said I was probably “dumped”. I guess I wasn’t taken very good care of, but the good people at West Park Animal Hospital gave me a bunch of medicine to make me feel better. The good news is I get a lot of treats to make the “medicine go down!”
My foster Mom says I have very good house manners: I don’t get on the furniture, don’t jump up on people, don’t counter surf, know to go out to potty and am crate trained. I get along just fine with the resident cats (2) and dogs (4) and love it when company comes because it usually means more belly rubs. I love being petted and will stand with you as long as you wish to keep petting. I like to walk ahead when on a walk, but I don’t pull. I have some hip issues so short walks are just fine.
My foster aunt said I was a “delight”…. Based on everything I have heard, I think I would be a good catch. What do you think?
