Gole and all the love he was given by Michelle.

Gender: Male Age: 8-10 years old

Older Goldens have definite benefits!  Admiral’s no exception – he’s a calm, gentle boy and is super easy to handle on a walk.  Right now, he’s not all that confident—he’s still adjusting and settling into a daily routine as he was a stray.  He is laid back, fine with other dogs and would do better with older children.  He’d be perfect for an older couple who would love a quieter companion. _____________________________________________________________________________

Foster Update: 7/19/12

Admiral has adjusted very well since coming to our home in early March.  He gets along with his foster brother and sister and has the run of the house while we are at work.  He is Invisible Fence trained and knows basic cues: site, stay, and down.  Due to his arthritis, we do not ask him to sit as it is harder for him to get up when he is laying down.  Admiral takes treats gently from your hand and loves being outside with his foster mom while she is gardening.  He loves rolling around on his back in the grass and is content to find a shady spot to lie down and just watch the birds.  Admiral is such a peanut weighing around 50 lbs and looks more like a pup in the face than a senior dog at 8-10 yrs old.  He does bark friendly greetings at the neighbors when they are outside, wagging his tail and overjoyed when they come to visit with him!

fenceschoolbus Admiral needs to have a fenced environment and would benefit from obedience training.
