Moe’s got a wonderful personality!  Our volunteer walker enjoyed her neighborhood stroll with him; he’s an obedient one and he likes to hold his curly tail up while he walks!  He regards other dogs with interest, but does well with them.  Moe’s got shorter hair—perhaps less wear on your vacuum?  He spunky, in a good way, and does not act his age!  If you cannot adopt Moe, please consider sponsoring him.

Foster Update: 4/9/12

Moe is looking for his "mojo"...can he find it with you?

Moe is such a great guy! So cute and hard to believe that he is between 8-10 yrs. old with all of the energy he has. He was overwhelmed at first when he met the two resident Golden's, but that soon disappeared as he became more comfortable in our home. The first day he checked out each room in the house, then came back to our home office, let out a big sigh, curled up on the floor and promptly fell asleep. He loves to be petted and scratched ANYWHERE on his little body. He's not a big guy, but he has a BIG personality! He's a lab/golden mix, but he has that beautiful "Golden smile" that shows he's a "Golden" at heart. He knows the basic cues: sit, stay, down, shake, and off. He pulls some when we walk, but we're working on it. He loves carrots....and every other treat we've given him (more proof that he's the best part of a "Golden” ...he loves to eat!!)!  He is good meeting other dogs on walks and loves all the people too! He a wonderful boy that's looking for his for his forever home... could you be the lucky one he shares it with?!

Foster Update: 5/29/12

As Moe continues to make himself comfortable with us, more of his great personality shows through! His house manners are impeccable! He knows basic cues and wants to please his foster parents. He will bark if he sees someone walking past, but doesn't seem to be bothered by bunnies or squirrels. He gets along very well with other dogs and loves all people. He doesn't play with toys, but will roll over in the blink of an eye to get a belly rub. His leash manners continue to improve as he loves to walk and would keep going long after his foster Mom has had enough! He's active for a senior dog, but likes to cuddle too. He is very agile and jumps into the back of our Jeep completely unassisted to enjoy a ride in the car. This sweet guy deserves a family of his very own that will love him and spoil him for the rest of his life. Take a chance on a senior dog...you won't be sorry!

Foster Update: 6/25/12

What a sweet and gentle boy! He can drop and roll in a split second if he thinks a belly rub could be coming his way. He gets along with the resident Golden’s very well, though he doesn’t really play with them. He will however, run through the house at top speed with them enjoying himself immensely. He loves to walk and will go as long as you do. He’s very agile and can jump on the bed, when invited, without any problems. Moe loves it when you talk to him, his whole body just wiggles. He is very well behaved and his manners are impeccable. He listens and just wants to please. He is a perfect dog for someone that wants a low maintenance but loving companion. Won’t you give him a chance? He’s a senior that wants his own family to love!
