This gal is so super sweet, so very snuggly - can’t believe she was a stray and no one came calling for her. If you are looking for a smaller Golden, one that’s gentle and loving, she’ll blend into your home with ease. She’s wild about other canines, and adores her people, too. We know that Sophia is on the submissive side and loves a good belly rub, too. She can use some weight on her frame, so a few extra meals will be in order.

Foster Update: 2/4/13

It was just one week ago we welcomed Sophia into our home. What a pleasure it is to have her. She enjoys the company of our two resident Goldens and our cat. Sophia enjoys going with short walks in the yard and is glad once her business is done to go back and enjoy the warmth of the house. For a senior Golden, she doesn't have any health issues. She does stairs quite well. She is being treated for an ear infection and is cooperative in having her ears cleaned daily. Her appetite is good as she does need to gain some weight. She takes treats so gently you don't even need to ask her to take it nice. She knows some basic cues like sit and shake. Sophia's idea of the ideal day is lying on her blanket for a nice nap. She loves to snuggle right up against you. Did I mention she loves to exercise every morning with my husband? While he is down on the living room floor, Sophia is right along side on her back rolling and moving her legs in the air like pedaling a bicycle! Sophia will make someone a very loving, loyal companion. She brings a smile to our faces every day!

Needs to have a fenced environment and would benefit from obedience training.
