Blake: Male 10 years old

This dark red golden is in excellent shape. Blake may be a senior, but you aren’t going to get away with not exercising him! He has plenty of energy and the walks will keep him even more active. He takes a little time to adjust and needs a quiet home to feel safe. However, he loves people, kids, cats, and dogs…he’s just a really nice guy!

Foster Update 03-04-2009:

After being with Blake for several weeks we are still amazed at his energy and playful nature. You would never know that he is 9 years old. He runs rings around our 5 year old golden! Blake loves to be with people and greets each one of his foster family at the door with wet kisses. Blake knows several commands like sit, down, and shake. We are working with Blake to sit and wait until he has his leash on to go outside. He has so much energy and is so fast that he just wants to race outside, but he is learning to wait. Blake is good with cats and other dogs and also likes to play with our 12 and 15 year old children. Blake loves to take walks and never seems to be tired. We had Blake groomed and the groomer said he behaved very well. He has a beatiful soft red coat with blond underneath and he is lean and ready to go!
