Clifford: Male 10-12 years old
This big red dog is in need of an extraordinary home. Clifford’s partially deaf and blind. He has adapted to these limitations and with a little help around the home, he’ll be just fine. He’s good with kids and is a really nice boy. You’ll be happy you gave Clifford a chance. His courage will be an inspiration to you…all he wants is love, comfort, some fun in his life and, of course, his tennis ball!
Foster Update: 5/27/09
Clifford has made himself at home with us. He enjoys playing with his tennis balls, going for long walks, playing keep away, taking naps in the SUV, going for car rides, and playing with our two others dogs! Clifford has total run of the house, and will let you know when it's potty time. He will sit for his treats and enjoys getting brushed. He is very sweet and gentle with the neighborhood kids. He is a hoot to watch as he plays with his glow in the dark ball at night. He will chase it and then just stare at it. This week we are working on brushing his teeth. Clifford is a wonderful boy!

Clifford is doing well in his foster home. He gets along well with the other dogs and the cats, allowing the kitties to brush up against him without a problem. He would probably do best in a home with another dog, as he likes to follow them around to help compensate for his vision problems. His sniffing skills are just great though, he can sniff out a tennis ball even if its under the couch!

Clifford’s foster mom says he is a real sweetheart. He loves the resident cats and dogs and is very playful, despite his handicaps. He loves to rely on his other senses and even plays catch with foster mom. He will do best in a single story home, for his safety. He loves visitors and awaits his turn at greetings when someone comes to the home. Clifford is a very social golden. Foster Mom adds that whoever adopts him is going to get a great dog!
Foster Update: 1/15/10

Update: 2/4/10
Sadly, Clifford has been diagnosed with liver and kidney failure. He is on a special renal diet and continues to enjoy life in his foster home.
