Patsy: Female 7-8 years old

Patsy was a stray; her thin frame is evidence of that homelessness.  But aside from that, she’s a very friendly Golden!  And she would blend into many scenarios easily.  If you’re retired and looking for a companion that’s agreeable as can be, Patsy is a good choice.  Or maybe you’d like a family-friendly pet?  She’d fit that bill, too.  Or, if you simply want a well-mannered, calm and very charming gal - and don’t want the training commitment that comes with a younger dog - Patsy may work with your lifestyle.  The bottom line is simple.  Patsy’s a picture perfect Golden and would meld seamlessly into almost any home.

Foster Update: 2/21/12

Patsy's first week in her foster home held a lot of great surprises!!  She is being treated for kennel cough so she wasn't herself until Thursday, but once she started feeling better, she has proven that a big personality can come in a small package!! She is the sweetest little girl (only 46 lbs and needs to gain some weight) and gets along great with the two resident Goldens. When she wants her turn for attention, she just worms her way in front of the boys and wags that tail! She is as happy curled up under my desk, in the home office, as she is in the family room with her two "brothers". When there's a dog on the TV, she stops what she's doing and runs to watch. It's the funniest thing to see her so interested in the TV...and if that dog on TV barks...well ...her head is going from side to side trying to figure it all out.  She is a full fledged snuggle bunny! She will sit on the couch beside her foster Mom and lay her head as close to my neck as she can and just snuggle.  I had her groomed and she just pranced when we took her for a walk that night. She doesn't pull at all and is very easy to walk. She knows a lot of commands: Sit, Stay, Down, Release. She really looks and acts much younger than her 7 years. This sweet girl will be a welcome addition to anyone who's looking for a mellow companion, on the small side, with a large personality!

Remember Me

Bella

Remember Me? Bella

Hi my name is Bella and I asked my mom to send some pictures to you. I am having a great time and love my new home and my new mom. I have been learning how to sit/stay, down/stay, come, off, leave it, walk on the leash, jump, touch, retrieve my ball, and lots more. This learning is fun but I still have trouble remembering it all the time.

I know I will get better it just takes practice. This weekend mom says I am going to learn how to stay in my yard. Then I will be able to run around and chase the ball without having a leash on. I am really good at barking and letting mom know I have to go outside. That's good, cause I get to enjoy the fresh air each time. I also have met my best friend Obie.
