Lucy: Female 4 years old

Lucy’s personality plus! She’s very sweet and friendly, and is a super happy girl. Lucy is heartworm positive, so she will need to stay quiet for a while after her recent treatments, but will be good as new in no time. She loves her toys and loves to get close for all the attention. She’s also great with cats and dogs, too. This cute little redhead will make someone a great companion!

Foster Update 07-07-2009:

Lucy is doing well in her foster home. She does get nervous during thunder storms and will pace and pant, but has not been destructive. Her foster home has been putting her on her leash and lay at her feet (she settles down in about 15 min), or sometimes she'll go lay in her crate - she only likes the varikennel type, no wire crates for her as she will try and dig out of them. Lucy rides in the car nicely either lose or in a crate. She is working on her manners and not pushing our way out of a door just because it is open and is doing a lot better already. She likes her daily walks. She has been to the dog park and liked the other dogs, but a home with small dogs/puppies is out for her as she does not tolerate them well. Lucy gets along well with her foster siblings and has started to play with the resident Airedale and has been fine with the foster cats.

Lucy would do best in a home with no small kids.

Lucy needs to have a fenced environment and would benefit with some obedience training.
