Foster Update: 2/17/10 Chance is a talker and makes happy noises when he meets someone new, but his loudest happy noises he makes are when his foster mom comes home! He wags his tail like crazy and sings at her with a stuffed baby in his mouth…too sweet! Chance is adjusting nicely to his new surroundings and routine. He gets very excited when he goes out for his walk, loves to say hello to his fellow doggie friends, and takes every opportunity to roll in the snow! He has loved all the canine and human friends he has met and enjoyed his day with his new BFF…an 11 year old girl! Chance is very affectionate and loving and has the “Golden lean” down pat. He loves to be petted and loved on and looks up at his foster mom with those big Golden eyes and just melts her heart! Chance doesn’t realize he is a senior as he loves to run in the hall and play fetch and tug of war several times a day. After about a half an hour though he is ready for a little snooze. Chance has had some doggie play dates and he has been fun and energetic with his fellow four footed friends with his perfect manners. Chance’s foster mom put a stool next to her bed the other night and Chance was in heaven! He climbed right up and slept next to her all night long and didn’t even move once! Do you have room in your heart and bed for this wonderful sweet boy? Foster Update: 3/8/10 Chance is doing well. He visited the dog park recently and had the time of his life! He greeted every canine and human to say hello…his tail never stopped wagging the entire time! Chance ran and played tag for a good half hour before he started to tire out…he definitely thinks he is only 4 or 5 years old! Chance is on a special dog food for seniors and his foster mom says it has helped with not only his mobility and energy level, but he is no longer itching either. Chance is a super boy and anyone looking for a Golden boy with therapy potential…Chance is your man! Foster Update: 4/5/10 Whew, it is nice to be home. I had a great time at the Ryans' house though. I got to play with Spirit for five whole days. It was exhausting and wonderful. We went for a lot of walks and we even got to run free in the tennis courts a few times. I got to explore a new house every day, even convincing Spirit to join me in knocking over the garbage can a few times and checking out what was inside. We had a feast then! The Ryans' weren't mad, just surprised at my awesome talent. Spirit was so much fun to hang out with. I thought my foster Mom spoiled me, but Spirit is even more spoiled-what a lucky dog- she has her very own bed in every room and she let me test them all out. She even shared all of her toys with me including her favorite hedgehog. It was a wonderful time. Spirit's Mom and my foster Mom said now that we are great friends, we will have many more play-dates this summer. I can't wait! I'm not sure where my foster Mom went for so long and I was sure glad to see her again, but when we got to our house, I decided that I was a little mad at her. I ignored her until the next morning. When she went to work the next day, I ate all of the peanut brittle that she bought on vacation and had put on the top of the microwave. I had to stretch long and far to get to it, but it tasted so yummy. I don't think my foster Mom was too happy when she came home, but she still gave me lots of hugs and kisses. I think I will not do that again, because my tummy hurt all night long. I had to go to the potty five times that night and my foster Mom took me out every time I whined. When we came back inside, she rubbed my belly and whispered that it would be all right. She is so wonderful.
I can't think of anything else really interesting to say right now, and my foster Mom is calling my name to go to the dog park. I love when she has days off and the weather is nice. We get to do all kinds of great things. Off to the park now! Woof woof...
