He had to move to an apartment and Hobie cannot do stairs. He is tall boy, but overweight. His new owners will have to help him in his weight loss efforts; this will help arthritis issues and make walking much easier for this genuinely nice guy. He gets along very well with other dogs, but is definitely a people dog, too! You will love this older gentleman. |

Foster Update: 2/24/10 Hobie is an absolute love! He may be a little hard of hearing and stiff in the back end, but he is what makes ‘old gold’ so special! Hobie enjoys the resident Golden and has no issues sharing his food or bones. He loves to chew on his sterile bones and often carries one around in his mouth, tail wagging. He loves his foster mom and heaven to Hobie is getting to snuggle on the bed at night! Hobie enjoys his short walks with his foster brother very much. Hobie was professionally groomed and has the thickest, softest coat. Hobie had some lumps and bumps removed as well as a dental and the biopsy results came back benign. If you are looking for a sweet senior to snuggle with, Hobie’s your man! Foster Update: 3/24/10 Hobie is doing well. He gets along with his foster brother and has been very well behaved when he has gone for walks in the park. He loves all the children and adults alike when meeting them. Recently Hobie’s foster mom had a party where he got to hang out with all the guests…he enjoyed himself very much! Hobie is very spoiled and if his furever home does not want a dog that gets on the furniture or sleeps in bed at night with them, then Hobie is not the boy for you! Hobie is very vocal and will bark to let you know if he wants help getting on the couch, dinner, or to go potty. He enjoys his short walks daily. Hobie is a real doll! |
