Foster Update: 3/12/10

If you are looking for a quiet aloof girl who would rather be by herself than underfoot, never wants to play and sleeps the day away you would be looking at the wrong dog!!  What a loving dog Bailey is.   Bailey has gone from a shy, submissive girl, to one that is outgoing and her confidence is increasing every day.  Bailey can never get close enough to you.  Even when she is sleeping she is touching you.  This 52# Golden girly girl is a bundle of love and wants nothing more then to share it with you.  If you think you have petted her enough up she comes with her paw for more love from you, ignore the paw and she will put both paws on you, try ignoring both paws and she will be in your lap!  She is so happy when she receives all the attention you can give her.  Bailey is great with the resident Goldens and good with cats.  Bailey is great in her crate, but has to be coaxed into it.  Her foster family is working on making the crate a great place for Bailey to be.  Bailey loves to ride in the truck, is housebroken, and has learned to wait in line for her turn to go outside.  Bailey knows how to sit and is learning how to walk on a leash as well as waiting patiently (no line jumping here) in line for her afternoon treats.  She acts like she has never had any treats before, but it didn't take long with the resident Goldens looking on as she figured what to do with the biscuit.   Obedience lessons are a must for this girl.  She wants to please if she understands what you are asking and should be the star pupil in her class with a little encouragement.  Somewhat of a slipper and sock thief she has taught me to put my stuff away.   Bailey has energy that will need to be channeled, be it ball playing or a long walk, but she's the girl that will love anything you are doing, just to be with you!    Bailey plays well with her foster siblings and is not toy or food aggressive and will love another canine companion in her furever home, or to be the center of all the attention!  What a love of a Golden she is!
