Another awful story – but it’s going to have a happy ending for this Golden. Kenzie came from a disreputable breeder; she came close to an early demise as she wasn’t producing enough pups. Thus, she’s frightened right now, but very affectionate. She latched on to our intake group transporter; she sensed she was in caring hands and stayed close to her. Kenzie will need a quieter, calmer home after all she’s been through, poor girl. But the good news is that she’s going to find her forever home and experience the pure joy of being loved and cared for, something she’s never known. Foster Update: 1/27/12 Kenzie is a sweet and gentle girl. She gets along well with the resident dogs and cats. When she met one of the kitties, she touched her nose to his and wagged her tail. Kenzie is house trained and a pleasure to walk. She loves to have her chest scratched. Kenzie has not explored her foster home yet and isn’t sure what treats are, but with time, this sweet girl will blossom! Foster Update: 2/13/12 Kenzie has learned how to sit for her yummies! Her foster mom had been working with her on her cues and when a friend came over a few hours later, Kenzie immediately sat when the treat bag was pulled out. She listens so well and is so well mannered that you would never know she had been relegated to living outside all these years. Kenzie can be shy at times, but does very well around other dogs and the visitors who come to her foster home.
d environment and would benefit with some obedience training.
