GRIN's adoption fees have remained the same for the past two years; however, veterinary care has been steadily on the rise. While some expenses of our operation are covered by the adoption fees, most are not. In fact, rarely does the adoption fee cover the vet fees on each dog. Without your tax deductible donations, GRIN would not be able to provide our rescued dogs with the level of medical care they so desperately need. Please donate today and help us save more goldens in need.

GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

Frequently Asked Questions

The average ages of our rescued goldens are between 1½ to 4 years old, however GRIN does occasionally receive puppies that are in need of a home. If you are only interested in adopting a puppy, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption. Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the puppy will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have puppies available.

DEAR POTENTIAL G.R.I.N. ADOPTERS!!!

Due to a recent security upgrade with our online adoption application software, we discovered that any applications submitted during 9:20 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13th, through 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 23rd AND June 4 through June 9, were not received at G.R.I.N., and unfortunately are not recoverable. Thankfully the problem has now been corrected.

GRIN fosters each dog we rescue for a minimum of two weeks before making them available for adoption. We do not have a kennel available, so foster homes are always needed as quite a few foster homes can't bear to give up their foster dog and end up adopting them. The more foster homes we have, the more goldens we can help find permanent furever homes for.

If you would like to actively participate in the adoption process and can open your heart and home to love and care for a rescued golden for a brief time, please consider being a foster home.

To expedite the foster application process, you can fill out our online application which is our Preferred Method of Submitting Your Application. You must live within NE Ohio area to be able to foster. You can also print out and complete an application (PDF Format) and either mail to: G.R.I.N. Fostering Program, P. O.
