Adopted!

My Special Sponsor:  The Dombrosky Family, in memory of Nikki Tschantz

Razzle: Female 7-9 years old

Razzle was rescued from a disreputable breeder, thank goodness.  The hard life she knew is now over!  She's already adjusting to happy times in her foster home and getting along famously with the other canines.  She's a very sweet, gentle gal and is still preening from her spa day - she's been groomed and has gleaming white teeth, too.  Razzle will make a wonderful companion for any home; she has a big heart and just wants to share it with all.

Foster Update: 7/6/11

Razzle has adjusted well in her new foster home.  She is using her crate when her foster family isn’t home, with no problems.  She is very affectionate and likes to be petted and brushed.  She lies by her foster parents chair to keep them company!  She does come when called, but doesn’t seem to know other commands and is working on them with her foster family.  Since she is overweight, she is on a diet and getting more exercise.  She is calm and gets along well with the four resident Goldens.  She has had a few accidents in the house, but has to go outside regularly due to a bladder infection.  She has not had any accidents in her crate.  Razzle is a sweet girl!

Foster Update: 7/25/11

Any family would be lucky to get Razzle!  She's calm, affectionate, and loves attention. She walks nicely on her leash, and comes when she's called. We are working on sit and other basic commands. She hasn't had any potty accidents in the house since her bladder infection cleared up. Initially she was crated while her foster parents were gone and at night, but she has the run of the house now. Razzle enjoys her car rides.  She had been shaved prior to coming to G.R.I.N., but she will be a pretty reddish gold when her fur grows back!

Foster Update: 8/3/11

Razzle continues to do well in her foster home. Razzle walks nicely on a leash, greets people gently and comes when called. Her foster family is working on basic commands with her and she's getting the hang of sit. Razzle's coat is starting to grow in and she loves to be brushed and to have her back scratched. Since she is shaved her foster family has had to keep her inside out of the heat and sun so she  hasn’t received as much exercise as she needs to lose her excess  weight, but she likes her green bean diet and has lost 2.5 pounds so far!  Razzle is a calm girl and loves to lay by your chair, at night she sleeps by the side of the bed. She has learned to go up and down the hardwood stairs and doesn't seem to be startled by any of the normal house sounds. Razzle likes to have a ball or toy to chew on with Kong toys being the most long lasting and favorite.

Foster Update: 8/23/11

Razzle continues to do well in her foster home. As first time foster parents we couldn't have asked for a better dog! She is calm, well behaved and affectionate. Razzle hasn't had any accidents in the house since her bladder infection cleared up, and just loves attention. She will lay her head in your lap to be petted. Her coat is starting to grow in so she can be outside on sunny days now. Her outer beauty will soon match her wonderful personality!

Remember Me

Bella

Remember Me? Bella

Hi my name is Bella and I asked my mom to send some pictures to you. I am having a great time and love my new home and my new mom. I have been learning how to sit/stay, down/stay, come, off, leave it, walk on the leash, jump, touch, retrieve my ball, and lots more. This learning is fun but I still have trouble remembering it all the time.

I know I will get better it just takes practice. This weekend mom says I am going to learn how to stay in my yard. Then I will be able to run around and chase the ball without having a leash on. I am really good at barking and letting mom know I have to go outside. That's good, cause I get to enjoy the fresh air each time. I also have met my best friend Obie.
