By foster mom Kathleen M.
Lacey came to our foster home about 3 weeks ago.

Immediately she became part of our family, joining Shelby our own rescued Golden, my husband and 11 year old daughter, Olivia. Lacey had such a sweet personality. She was always at my side, whether in the kitchen cooking, running in the neighborhood or just hanging out watching dog movies like 'Snow Buddies'. She always had a smile on her pretty face and would put her head in my lap and just stare into my eyes. Shelby and Lacey would love to run around together in the backyard or in the fenced in tennis courts. She could jump way up into the air to catch the frisbee or ball right into her mouth. During the big blizzard on March 8th she and Shelby would venture out into the snow drifts, and just roll around together enjoying the adventure. It was so very sad that the following Monday Lacey wasn't acting like herself. We took her to the vet and found out that she had so much cancer inside of her that she had to be put to sleep right away. Our only comfort is that she had a wonderful last 3 weeks of her life with us. All the people at GRIN, the Willoughby Animal Hospital and West Park Animal Hospital were so supportive during this very tough time for our family. We will miss Lacey and will never forget her.

Remember Me? Bella
Hi my name is Bella and I asked my mom to send some pictures to you. I am having a great time and love my new home and my new mom. I have been learning how to sit/stay, down/stay, come, off, leave it, walk on the leash, jump, touch, retrieve my ball, and lots more. This learning is fun but I still have trouble remembering it all the time.
I know I will get better it just takes practice. This weekend mom says I am going to learn how to stay in my yard. Then I will be able to run around and chase the ball without having a leash on. I am really good at barking and letting mom know I have to go outside. That's good, cause I get to enjoy the fresh air each time. I also have met my best friend Obie.
