Roscoe suffered another stroke in the middle of the night and his foster family rushed to him the vets. Upon further bloodwork and x-rays it was determined Roscoe had a tumor on his spleen. He passed away peacefully in his foster mom's arms

 Roscoe: Male 12 years old

Hi, my name is Roscoe and my owner had to move in with her sick mother and sadly, I couldn’t come along, so now I am looking for a new home. I have slight facial paralysis on one side and no one knows why that happened, but it doesn’t bother me in the least. I am a plus size guy and am told I need to be put on a diet and exercise program so I can get around better. Please adopt me because I again need the love and attention I was used to getting, and I’m so worth it!

Foster Update:

Roscoe is a sweet, lovable senior who is a joy tohave around. He's a "tad" overweight at 100 pounds but we have been aggressively working on that with diet and exercise. He goes for a walk every night, four blocks up and back, which pretty much wipes him out, but we take our time and he does real well. He has an ear infection which we are treating with ear wash and medicine. He has several large lipomas and some smaller mole-type growths which the vet said were benign. Other than that Roscoe is a healthy senior Golden.

Roscoe gets along very well with his two foster brothers, Frazer and Noah. Just within the last week he has started playing with them, nipping at their legs and neck to play. It keeps him moving and it is funny to watch them. I think Roscoe would do very well in a household with another older dog or by himself. Roscoe likes children too as he will go to all the kids we meet on our walks and wants them to pet him. He does very well in the house all day while we are at work, he is not destructive at all and is housebroken. Roscoe is welcome to stayas long as possible in my house, he's such a sweet guy. Enjoy the pictures of Roscoe!

Update 10-09-2008: Poor Roscoe suffered another stroke in the middle of the night and his foster family rushed to him the vets. Upon further bloodwork and x-rays it was determined Roscoe had a tumor on his spleen. He passed away peacefully in his foster mom's arms. She said Roscoe was a "joy to have had" the short time they had him and she enjoyed watching him romp in the yard with the resident seniors. Even though they had him only a short few weeks, they loved him. Thank you to his wonderful foster family for providing him a loving home.

Remember Me

Remember Me? Bella

Hi my name is Bella and I asked my mom to send some pictures to you. I am having a great time and love my new home and my new mom. I have been learning how to sit/stay, down/stay, come, off, leave it, walk on the leash, jump, touch, retrieve my ball, and lots more. This learning is fun but I still have trouble remembering it all the time.

I know I will get better it just takes practice. This weekend mom says I am going to learn how to stay in my yard. Then I will be able to run around and chase the ball without having a leash on. I am really good at barking and letting mom know I have to go outside. That's good, cause I get to enjoy the fresh air each time. I also have met my best friend Obie.
