Adopted!

My Special Sponsors:    - Bob and Carole Hope, in memory of our beloved Mandy.

Bella: Female 3.5 months old

Bella’s owners adored her, but the retired couple forgot how much work’s involved with raising an active Golden puppy.  They relinquished this pretty girl, satisfied that G.R.I.N. would place her in a suitable home.  Now her foster home is thoroughly enjoying her, citing that she is soft, snuggly and sweet as can be!  Bella is going to be a perfect Golden for someone who’s interested in adopting a beautiful puppy - but is fully aware that they’ll need to guide her through her youth and beyond, including training, housebreaking and the ever important attention and love.

 Foster Update: 12/20/11

This adorable 20+ pounds of cuteness joined us a week ago.   She has that face that belongs on a greeting card and melts your heart!  Bella is doing well with her foster sisters (they are getting use to little ones showing up).  She is full of boundless energy and needs a family that has the time and space to let her run and run and run.

She is great with her crate training and is usually only crated when no one is home for a few hours at time.  She has had a few "puppy time-outs" in the crate, usually to give the resident Goldens a break from puppy play.  She just curls up and naps until someone lets her out.

She knows "sit" and "come".  While not completely housebroken (she is a work in progress) hey...she is only 3.5 months old!

She LOVES the snow and had a blast Saturday with her first snowfall.  At first she wasn't sure what to make of it.  She then discovered she could slide across the deck into a pile and munch on a snowball!  Bella is a sweetheart and has the character of a true Golden!

fenceBella needs to have a fenced environment and would benefit with some obedience training.schoolbus

Remember Me

Bella

Remember Me? Bella

Hi my name is Bella and I asked my mom to send some pictures to you. I am having a great time and love my new home and my new mom. I have been learning how to sit/stay, down/stay, come, off, leave it, walk on the leash, jump, touch, retrieve my ball, and lots more. This learning is fun but I still have trouble remembering it all the time.

I know I will get better it just takes practice. This weekend mom says I am going to learn how to stay in my yard. Then I will be able to run around and chase the ball without having a leash on. I am really good at barking and letting mom know I have to go outside. That's good, cause I get to enjoy the fresh air each time. I also have met my best friend Obie.
