God saw that you were getting tired,
And your cure was not meant to be.
So He put His arms around you
And whispered, "Come with me."
A Golden heart stopped beating,
Adoring eyes went to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove
He only takes the best.

We all know there comes a time when our faithful and beloved companions must cross the Rainbow Bridge. The following are tributes to these wonderful creatures.

My Wife and I rescued Libby four years ago.  Reportedly, she was a vicious dog who had a hard life.  They were unsure of her age but, our Vet estimated she was twelve years old.

She was missing all but four teeth but still enjoyed treats, as often as she could get them.  Libby was a wonderful companion to us and our other Golden, Gus.  They cuddled whenever they could and often shared the dog bed when they slept.

Libby crossed the Rainbow Bridge on January 7, 2010.  We were happy to give her four years of peace.

Dear Friends of Amos,

Amos passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his owners last night. Although I feel sad, I take great solace in something June said to me on our drive home. Amos was very fortunate that GRIN found him and took him in, saving him from an unpleasant end. Also, we were very lucky to have been given the chance of caring for Amos during these past nine months.

We lost our Buffy today, December 9, 2009.  She had been battling liver disease since September.  She took a turn for the worse this week and is now at the Rainbow Bridge with Farley, Einstein and Harry.  They are having quite a reunion.

In less than two weeks he went from being a "normal" 12 y.o. senior with a frisky attitude... to being virtually paralyzed in his rear quarters. Two trips to his regular vet, and then an MRI with an excellent veterinary referral group (neurology) revealed a very large inoperable tumor on his spine. Nothing could be done...
