We all know there comes a time when our faithful and beloved companions must cross the Rainbow Bridge. The following are tributes to these wonderful creatures.
Dear Friends of Amos,
Amos passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his owners last night. Although I feel sad, I take great solace in something June said to me on our drive home. Amos was very fortunate that GRIN found him and took him in, saving him from an unpleasant end. Also, we were very lucky to have been given the chance of caring for Amos during these past nine months.
So fast. We never know when they will leave us. We had to let my sweet freckled boy go on Tuesday. In less than two weeks he went from being a "normal" 12 y.o. senior with a frisky attitude... to being virtually paralyzed in his rear quarters. Two trips to his regular vet, and then an MRI with an excellent veterinary referral group (neurology) revealed a very large inoperable tumor on his spine. Nothing could be done...
