Rusty Available after 8/9 Available for Sponsorship Rusty: Male 3 years old Meet Rusty, a 3-year-old doll.  He’s an owner relinquishment; they have financial constraints that are forcing them to part with their pets.  He’s lost his home, so he’s understandably frightened and timid right now.  Once in his forever home and assured he’s loved and cherished, this gentle boy will come out of his shell.  He’s a lover, it’s just that simple.  Rusty has had plenty of exposure to children of all ages, and is fine with cats and dogs, too.  He is crate trained if that’s an option for you.   He is a very good boy, and he wants plenty of your time and attention!
Muffin Available after 8/3 Available for Sponsorship Muffin: Female 8-10 years old More information coming soon...
Rita Available after 8/3 Available for Sponsorship Rita: Female 3 years old Rita’s owner gave her up as they are starting a farm, and petite, sweet Rita is not fond of chickens or bunnies.  But this pretty redhead is excellent with kids and other dogs.  Rita is a tad bit scared right now, but she will warm up and be fine.  She just needs a G.R.I.N. family’s TLC!
Max Adopted! Available for Sponsorship Max: Male 12 weeks old What a doll baby Max is!  He was given up because the children promised to help care for him, but did not make good on their promise.  Max is quite laid-back for a pup and very smart….he knows how to ring a bell when he wants to go outside!  His foster mom is in love and she just met him for the first time today.  She said, “What a precious little guy….he is awesome!”  But, who doesn’t love a golden puppy!  We have several people on a waiting list for a puppy, so by the time you read this, he will probably be spoken for.
Connor Available for adoption My Special Sponsor:    Kathleen Aey Connor: Male 9 years old This is one of the sweetest, gentlest Golden boys we’ve had in a long time…and we’ve had plenty!  He’s a tail wager - just as happy as can be.  Connor’s owners sadly were forced to relinquish him when their daughter developed horrible allergies.  This calm pet loves children, is fine with other dogs and enjoys cats.  Connor is a prime example of why Goldens have good reputations.  He will make an excellent family dog and companion!
Penny Available for adoption-Update! Available for Sponsorship Penny: Female 2 years old Her owner is moving into an apartment and can’t take her Penelope with her – and boy is she sad to be losing her girl. Penny loves other dogs – she’s been to training classes and doggie daycare and thoroughly enjoyed both! She is fond of kids and even cats, too. We are told Penny can be a bit bossy and may want to run the show in a multiple dog home; time will tell if this is true. She is like most 2 year old’s - full of energy and spunk!

Casey

Casey, our Prince, was our first rescue dog. He came to our family in the year 1999 at the age of 13 months and that was the beginning date of our family.

His disposition was that of a loving compassionate furry person, who would be there to help out at all times. He loved to get the mail, the newspaper, would
carry items up and down the steps for us and had more friends in the neighborhood than we did. He would keep us laughing all the time with his funny traits, and his loving ways and the passionate look of life in his eyes made you fall in love with him each and every time. He made our family whole and complete.

In 2004 he was diagnosed with cancer and spent a month and half at MedVet in Columbus getting radiation and eventual surgery. He survived the treatment, without a whimper and became a real trooper at the hospital and at home. He became cancer free until 2006 when the cancer returned to his hind leg area. He again underwent surgery, this time losing the use of one of his hind legs. That never troubled Casey, he would still perform errands, and maintained his happy go-lucky disposition. Unfortunately in Thanksgiving of 2007 his vet recognized that yet another cancerous tumor was cutting the circulation to his spinal cord and that if we elected, surgery might be an alternative. We had decided that we could no longer bear to have surgery performed on him and would let God decide when the time was right. We believed that he would be with us for a much longer period of time but on December 10, 2007 our beloved Casey passed over the Rainbow Bridge, where he awaits us today.

He is missed everyday very deeply, but with faith, we know we will all meet one day at the Rainbow Bridge. We miss you Casey and will always love you!!!!
