Storm

Sadly, Storm crossed the rainbow bridge today in the arms of her caring foster Mom. We know Bear will miss you! Thank you to her foster Mom for being with her and loving her the past couple of months.  Storm: Female 12 years old

Storm and Bear are products of divorce.  Things have not been easy for this duo lately, and G.R.I.N. would like to change things for them.  They both have some simple health issues that we will address.  They are very agile for their age, not at all what you would expect from seniors!  Storm and Bear are very good with other dogs and cats, too.  They are both very sweet and at their age, they deserve to live a life full of happiness, security and love.  We hope to keep them together—they are very close.

Foster Update 12-18-08:

Storm and Bear are a lovely older couple, who get along with everyone from other dogs, cats and children.  They are devoted to each other and are looking for a furever home to share in their golden years.  Bear initially had several seizures when he first came to foster, but is doing well on his medications and has not had any since.  These two sweethearts will fit right in to a loving home!

Update 12-19-2008: When Storm was brought into G.R.I.N. it was discovered she had a large tumor on her leg and once tested, the results came back as cancer.  Due to the location of the tumor and its size, it would not be able to be removed successfully removing all the cancer cells.  Storm has not been feeling well or eating for the past 3 days so she was taken to the veterinarian.  After reviewing the chest x-rays, it was discovered her cancer had metastasized, probably for some time, and a large tumor was located in her chest.
