After brightening my life for 44 months, my dear Sampson crossed theRainbow Bridge on Sept. 1. He was GRIN's first placement of the year in 2006 when I brought him into my life.
He and my golden Jade have been inseparable and we are both mourning his loss from our life, but celebrating his freedom from the limits of his aging body. Adopting an older dog was the best thing I ever did: he was a wonderful presence and I've attached one of my favorite photos of him. He touched everyone's lives that he met: co-workers, friends, family, vets, and of course, other dogs! He was a peace maker and had dignity and puppiness all at the same time!
