Adopted!

My Special Sponsor:    Lennie and Jane, in memory of our precious Polly

Cindy: Female 1 year old

Cindy’s nickname should be “Red.”  She’s gorgeous and it’s unbelievable that no one claimed this stray sweetheart.  She does listen to basic commands very nicely, but she’ll need to attend a training class with her owner.  She’s not a misbehavin’ gal, it is simply that she’s has things to learn.  Even though she is one year old, know this: she has tons of puppy-like fun in her.  And her new family should get ready to play catch and fetch.  But rest assured, once she settles, all she’s going to want is some old-fashioned snuggling.

Foster Update: 12/20/11

Cindy is doing really well adjusting to our home, having been with us two weeks.  She has been great with our two kids, and does well with the two resident Goldens, and our cat.  She does like to be part of the action and will follow where ever the other two venture.  She loves to wrestle, retrieve tennis balls, and be outside.  She has a great personality, and has lots of energy to bring to her new family.  We have been working really hard on IF training and we are now able to let her out without a lead!  She understands the boundaries, and has been great staying in the yard now that she has the hang of it.  She does love to be outside, so this is a great plus.

To help with some of her energy, she loves long walks or runs… we are working on being better on a lead, but with a harness on, she does better.  She will sit on command, and we are working on a consistent down and stay.  She is a very inquisitive girl, who loves to look out the window and make sure she isn’t missing anything!

Overall, Cindy is a joy to have around and will make someone a wonderful addition to their family!

fence Cindy needs to have a fenced environment and would benefit with some obedience training.schoolbus

Remember Me

Bella

Remember Me? Bella

Hi my name is Bella and I asked my mom to send some pictures to you. I am having a great time and love my new home and my new mom. I have been learning how to sit/stay, down/stay, come, off, leave it, walk on the leash, jump, touch, retrieve my ball, and lots more. This learning is fun but I still have trouble remembering it all the time.

I know I will get better it just takes practice. This weekend mom says I am going to learn how to stay in my yard. Then I will be able to run around and chase the ball without having a leash on. I am really good at barking and letting mom know I have to go outside. That's good, cause I get to enjoy the fresh air each time. I also have met my best friend Obie.
