To Sponsor a Golden and The Arnold Fund

If you can't adopt a golden, you can still help by sponsoring one of our rescued beauties! Many of our rescues need extensive medical care. They often need treatment for diseases or ailments such as heartworms, pneumonia, and malnutrition, just to name a few. It is not unusual for medical expenses, especially for seniors, to mount to several hundreds of dollars, a few even into the thousands. All of our G.R.I.N. dogs are available for sponsorshipto help defray the costs of their care while in our program.

The Arnold Fund

The Arnold Fund was set up to help defray the cost for golden retrievers that enter our program in need of extensive veterinary care. The Fund was named in honor of our first "Arnold" fund recipient, Arnold. He came to G.R.I.N. from a shelter when he was only about a year old. He couldn't open his mouth more than 1/2". After evaluation by a specialist and many diagnostic tests, it was determined that his jaw had been broken in some type of trauma and healed improperly, making it impossible for him to open his mouth more than just a little. Because of this he could eat, but he could have serious issues that would lead to choking, aspiration of fluids or pneumonia. He underwent surgery on 1/12/04 to correct this problem. His bills were quite extensive due to the specialized care and thus the "Arnold" fund was established to help him and others like him in the future.

Although G.R.I.N. has no Goldens currently supported by the Arnold Fund, you can still dontate for the next dog needing care through this program.
