Cathryne
My name is Cathryne and I am so happy to be in my new adopted home with Molly. We are now the bestest of friends and can't imagine it any other way!
I was left about 2 years ago at an abandoned animal shelter - I don't know why, I'm such a lovable girl! Thank goodness G.R.I.N. came along and saved me. I went to a great foster home where G.R.I.N. started to look for a permanent home for me.Molly decided she was ready for a dog of her own. Her family had always had dogs and now that she had her own place, it seemed like it needed a Golden Retriever to complete the picture. Molly's parents adopted another lovable girl, Darby, from G.R.I.N. a couple years earlier and it seemed a perfect fit.
I met Molly when she came to my foster home - I must admit, I was a little overweight and didn't have the most energy ever. I did bring her my tennis ball a million times to play with - that seems to be how I greet everyone now! Molly took me home and we've been a pair ever since. I felt a little like I was at "doggy boot camp" at Molly's - she fed me green beans (yuck) and low fat dog food and took me on all kinds of walks. But, man oh man, do I feel like a new dog now. I've lost 15 pounds and I swear I'm aging backwards - I run around, chase rabbits, and my hip is hardly a problem at all. I swim, fetch - its like I'm a different dog. Molly's family laughs because everywhere she goes, I go. We are quite a pair, I must say!
Thanks G.R.I.N. from both me and Molly - its been a great match!
