Max joined our family in mid-August, and as our photo demonstrates, he has quickly become the center of our family.

When he is not protecting our home from pesky squirrels and the like, he is making sure he plants himself squarely in someone's lap to give them the pleasure of rubbing his ears or belly. He came to us after a difficult year of familial adjustment and has already helped hearts heal in ways only a sweet dog can. We know he senses how important he is to us and hope that he's quickly forgotten his own troubles to finally receive all the love he's so richly deserved.

Many thanks to G.R.I.N. and especially to Frank, Anna, and Scott, Max's foster family, all of whom took care of Max until we were finally brought together.

Remember Me

Bella

Remember Me? Bella

Hi my name is Bella and I asked my mom to send some pictures to you. I am having a great time and love my new home and my new mom. I have been learning how to sit/stay, down/stay, come, off, leave it, walk on the leash, jump, touch, retrieve my ball, and lots more. This learning is fun but I still have trouble remembering it all the time.

I know I will get better it just takes practice. This weekend mom says I am going to learn how to stay in my yard. Then I will be able to run around and chase the ball without having a leash on. I am really good at barking and letting mom know I have to go outside. That's good, cause I get to enjoy the fresh air each time. I also have met my best friend Obie.
