Pregnant Dolly (26118, 2 YO F) has found her way to GRIN from the Ashland County Humane Society as a part of a seizure made by the Ohio Department of Agriculture from a high volume dog breeder. Dolly has elevated neutrophils, which are white blood cells that fight infections and heal wounds, and was prescribed antibiotics. Her puppies are anticipated in the next couple of weeks. It is estimated that there will be 7 or 8 pups, but sometimes the X-rays can be difficult to count. Please keep an eye on our social media as we will be asking for community support as this girl delivers her puppies. We will be asking for donations and will be setting up a Amazon wishlist for her, taking in a pregnant dog is no easy feat for a rescue but we are so thankful to be able to help in such a horrible situation.
