Description
When a Newfie Rescue was picking up two Newfies from a breeder, they let JJ go, too! The rescue provided him with great care and ensured he was vaccinated and dewormed. JJ has some weakness in his back legs, and when he tires himself out, his hind legs will give out a bit. This abnormal behavior was verified through X-rays showing a malformation in the thoracic region of the spine. It looks like one of the discs or vertebrae did not form properly. Luckily, the malformation doesn’t seem to be causing him any painful issues, but sometimes his back feet don’t cooperate. If JJ lost the ability to use his back legs in the future or if he were to experience great pain, then he would need to see a specialist. JJ was neutered and had a cryptorchid (an undescended testicle); due to this, his neuter was a bit more invasive.

JJ is a 5-month-old ball of sunshine with the happiest little personality! His favorite thing in the world is wrestling and playing with other dogs. If another pup is around, he’ll happily spend hours chasing, tumbling, and making new best friends.
JJ has a vertebrae issue, so his back legs can look a little unstable sometimes. But if you ask him, he’s just like every other puppy! He runs, plays, zooms around the yard, and never lets it slow him down.
He’s a total sweetheart who loves pets almost as much as he loves playing! He also loves being outside, taking in all the sights and smells. His only dislike…soccer balls. For whatever reason, those things are highly suspicious.
JJ is mostly potty trained with only a few puppy accidents, and he’s working hard on learning his cues. He’s a smart little guy… he just occasionally gets distracted by literally everything else.
JJ is the kind of puppy who makes you smile without even trying. He’s goofy, resilient, and full of life and energy!
