Opal is a 2-year-old golden mix with the sweetest soul you’ll ever meet with a heart full of love and loyalty. Opal was adopted for a short period but struggled in that environment, almost like she experienced some sort of traumatic event. When returned, Opal was a totally different dog. She is currently in the care of our positive trainer who has been working to help her overcome whatever happened in her past and return to the dog she once was. She is happiest when she is close to her humans and while she thrives in a calm environment, she needs a predictable routine and enrichment. She is making great progress with her confidence thanks to positive reinforcement. She can have doggy friends but would do better as an only dog as she can get snippy when dogs get in her face. With the right person, Opal will give back tenfold the love and trust she's shown.

It is said that good things come in small packages and nothing could describe Opal better! This little gal, weighing in at just 47 pounds, has a whole lot of sweetness packed in to her little body! Opal has been in the care of GRIN's positive trainer, participating in regular classes and doing great work on basic obedience and leash manners She gets along well with other dogs & is making great progress. This little one will be available for adoption soon!
