GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Sweet, calm, and loving are the words used to describe this pretty girl! Abby has playful energy—but not too much—just the perfect blend. She walks nicely on a leash and is social with people and dogs. She’s was vetted and there’s no other major health concerns. Her foster is excited to care for this beautiful gal. Stay tuned for more updates.

Foster Update: 5/23/25

Abby is a beautiful golden girl with lots of energy! She has excellent recall using her given name which is “Ally”.  Abby loves to play in the water and run around in the yard. She wants all the attention and is very confident and would be great as an only dog. She gets along fine with her fur siblings most of the time but has had a few disagreements with her fur foster sister. She is okay with cats most of the time, leaving them alone, but she does have a high prey drive and just can't resist chasing them eventually.

Abby would do well in an active home as she likes to go on adventures and is most relaxed after a nice long walk in a park. Abby's favorite things to do are watch the squirrels and birds in the yard and pace in hopes that someone opens the door for her to chase them.  She is reliably house trained, never having had an accident in the house. She goes into her crate well.  She does pull on the leash & does better walking on a harness.
