GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Reason is a breeder relinquishment, and this beauty is special! She’s social and sweet. She walks well on a leash, and her energy level is medium. She is good in her crate. Reason has been vetted and is on her way to her foster home, and they’ll provide more info as she settles in!

Foster Update: 6/4/25

Reason is such a sweet girl & truly enjoys people. She is friendly with the resident dog, but she doesn’t pay him much attention and does not lean on him for guidance. When she first came to her foster home, she was shy and scared of most things. She has been in her foster home for three weeks now & has become more confident. She loves to go outside and roll in the grass and lays in the sun and begs for belly rubs. She is not bothered by the sounds of birds, sirens, or thunder. She is still learning to gain confidence inside the house. She prefers to hang out in the foster room or the master bedroom. Her foster family can get her to venture into the rest of the house with cheese cubes, but the slightest sounds send her scurrying back to her safe place. She will bravely prance out to meet guests at the front door and she shows no fear towards them. She will cozy up for pets and when she met a newborn baby, she was curious, gentle and enjoyed their presence. She has had no accidents in the house and has been well behaved.
