GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Meet Wesley, our new four-year-old English cream. He came to us as he has two torn ACL's and needs to see a specialist--we responded to his owner's pleas for help. He's been seen by our ortho vet, but he agreed with the initial assessments and recommends that Wes be seen by a specialist. This is going to be very expensive, but we're determined to ease this boy's pain and get him back to being a fun-loving dog. Wesley's friendly nature will make him a wonderful companion for anyone. For now, he is on hold and in the care of a special foster who will keep him quiet. Please check back on him, say a few prayers, and consider donating to GRIN in his name. Surgeries will be about $12k for sure.

Update: 6/11/25

Wesley had the first of two surgeries needed to repair torn CCL's in both back legs on May 21st. This resilient and sweet boy is recuperating in his loving foster home and doing well. His activity continues to be limited as he rehabs that leg. On July 16th, he will have his second surgery to repair the other leg. He will remain in foster care for 8 to 10 weeks following that procedure. We continue to be amazed at how resilient his body and spirit remain, given all that he's been through. The foster reports that he is a loving, sweet and happy boy. We look forward to seeing him flourish once he is fully healed and able to live his very best life. More updates will come following his second surgery. Here are some updated pics of our sweet Wesley.
