GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Kendra is a friendly gal! She’s quiet and loves other dogs. She was a breeder's dog and is a flight risk. She’s overall healthy and has gone to her foster home. They’ll provide personality updates!

Foster Update: 11/19/25

Kendra has been in her new foster home for a month. Like so many of our fosters, she needed some time to feel comfortable in her new home. She lives with 4 foster sisters and is quite at ease with them. She follows their routines for going outside and taking care of business. She knows how to wait for her turn at mealtimes.  She naps contentedly on the floor and has not ventured on to any furniture.

Kendra has a sweet, laid-back disposition. She LOVES to be petted and will stand in front of you for as long as you are willing to pet her. She enjoys car rides if she can stick her nose out the window. She takes treats very gently and knows how to wait for a treat to be offered. Perhaps the best thing she has learned is that foster mom's last bites of food are shared with all the girls!

Kendra is working on socialization, leash walking and basic cues. She seems interested in meeting both children and adults and has done very well in these introductions. She is already looking like a wonderful family fur kid!

Foster Update: 9/25/25

Meet Kendra – From Timid to Tremendous!

Kendra is a beautiful puppy mill survivor who’s learning every day that the world can be a safe and happy place. When she first arrived, she was nervous around doorways, leashes, and new people. But with patience, gentle care, and consistency, she’s blossoming into a sweet, curious, and loving companion.

Just recently she had her first car ride to the groomer — and she handled it like a champ! She was a little hesitant at first with the doors, but she quickly recovered and walked in bravely. At the grooming salon she was calm, well-mannered, and even explored the room on her own. She adored being pampered and now looks absolutely stunning after her spa day.

Kendra is ready for a home where patience and love are part of the routine. She thrives on gentle encouragement, enjoys quiet affection, and will continue to blossom with each new experience. With a kind and understanding adopter, she’s sure to become a loyal, affectionate, and joyful family member.

If you’re looking for a dog whose transformation you can be proud of — and who will reward you with gratitude and unconditional love — Kendra may be the perfect match for you.
