GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Lily is a beautiful girl! She came to us from a breeder. She is gentle and sweet but is timid right now. She, like most breeding dogs, is a flight risk. She has been vetted, and her foster has picked her up. She will be given lots of time to decompress and come out of her shell slowly. Watch for updates on her personality.

Foster Update: 8/19/25

Lily is making progress in her foster home. She has learned to love her crate and loves to stay there to watch everyone in the family. She hasn’t had any accidents in the house but will need to be crated to make sure she doesn’t chew on things.  She is starting to approach her foster family for more attention and pets. She gets excited about her breakfast and dinner and loves her evening treat. Lily loves to play chase with the resident dogs and do zoomies together.

She is still working on not being scared of loud noises and humans. She will need her human to be gentle and patient with her and a confident dog in the household will also help with her transition.

Foster Update: 7/15/25

Lily is a big, beautiful girl. She gets along well with the resident dogs. She has not had any accident in the house, even on the days that we are working during the day.

Initially she was very scared and skittish, not eating or coming out of her corner. Lily is still learning what it is like to be a family pet. After a few days of decompression, she is slowly coming out of her area to see what we are all up to. She will stand by us to get some pets and belly scratches. Even though she is still very scared of loud noises, she loves to walk around the backyard to explore.

Lily has the potential to be an affectionate and gentle partner in a quiet home. She will surely blossom into a great family pet with a bit of time, patience, and a lot of positive reinforcement training. Lily is healing nicely from her entropion surgery and will have her stitches removed this week.
