GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Adoption pending!

We have a new sweetie pea, meet Toffee. She’s a moyen goldendoodle and is packed with friendliness! She’s a little timid but walks well on a leash. She is off to her foster and we will update on her personality soon!

Foster Update: 9/11/25

Toffee has completely come out of her shell in the 7 weeks that she has been in her foster home. She loves being part of a household and family and enjoys spending time with both her human companions as well as canine sisters. She absolutely loves walking time, about an hour a day total, and would do well in a home with active owners who enjoy walking as part of their regular lifestyle. She is still learning what toys are and how to play with them, but she has fully grasped sticks/chews and loves to spend time chewing them. She needs work on her general "household manners" simply in the sense that she doesn't always understand when jumping/barking is appropriate, and when to move out of the way, if you're walking up the stairs and she's in front of her foster family, she'll sometimes freeze and look at them instead of walking. With time she is learning more and more. She will be the sweetest companion and will make her future family her entire world.

Foster Update: 8/1/25

Toffee is sweet and curious and has the gentlest nature. She has grown and changed tremendously in just one week of fostering. At first, she was timid, insecure, and hesitant, but she quickly figured out how much joy and fun can be found in life. She melts our hearts with how excited she gets when we get home and give her attention. She is very interested in getting petted and verbal reassurance that she is loved.  She absolutely loves her foster siblings and would do well in a home with another dog who she can rely on as her guide and her buddy.  She enjoys following us (both the humans and dogs) around the house to observe what we're doing. She walks very well on the leash and enjoys sniffing everything she can. She needs to work on learning to fully trust, but that will come with time.
