GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Adoption pending!

Fig is a good natured, affectionate guy. He has lived with children and dogs and does well. Unfortunately, his owner had to relinquish him due to long work hours, so we’re looking for a new home for Fig. If you’re looking for a new friend that you’ll fall in love with, let us know!

Foster Update: 8/22/25

Meet Sir Issac Fig Newton (aka Fig or Figgy)!  This happy guy is ready to bring joy (and a little bit of silly chaos) to his forever home. Fig’s favorite hobby? Emptying every toy bin in the house and proudly scattering his treasures around. His absolute favorite toys are the tiny ball toys sometimes we even find them outside after he sneaks them out for extra fun!
Fig is still learning his manners. It’s clear he didn’t have much training in his previous home, but he’s already signed up for a few classes with his foster family to make sure he’s ready for adoption. He has been doing great with the three resident dogs in his foster home and absolutely adores playing with the cat. That said, he’d do best with a playful cat friend, as he may overwhelm an older or shy kitty.  When the sun’s up, Fig is your energetic, playful sidekick. But when the day winds down, he transforms into a total cuddle bug, always ready to snuggle in close. Fig also has irresistible ear crimps! If you’re looking for a dog who can keep you active during the day and melt your heart at night, Sir Issac Fig Newton is the perfect match.
