GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Mack is a relinquishment. His owners wanted what’s best for this sweet guy. You see, he’s been in much pain and needs two hip surgeries to repair, correct, and eliminate his discomfort. He has a wonderful foster who will see him through this journey back to health. Check back for updates!

Update: 12/15/25

Happy Holidays from Mack…. Mack has a lot to be thankful for this holiday season as he is now out of pain.  Mack underwent not one but two surgeries on his hips: one in early September and the other early November.  GRIN’s social media folks have done a great job with posting updates, now it’s time for a website update.  Mack had FHO (femoral head ostectomy) surgery on both of his hips.  Mack recently visited GRIN’s vet partner for his evaluation.  He is coming along nicely as his body’s soft tissue starts to remold into new joints.  Mack is now deemed adoptable; however, his future family will need to continue with his physical therapy to strengthen his hind limbs.  Mack has been a trooper though the past few months.  He is house trained and loves attention even during PT.  He enjoys going for short walks.    It’s been a pleasure working with his foster family and having the opportunity to personally meet Mack.
