Needs to have a fenced environment and would benefit from obedience training. ![]()
Say hello to Lily, our precious one year-old girl. Lily has been vetted and is in her new foster home. We sent her to a very special, calm home where she’ll be well cared for. Her owner was forced to relinquish her as her living situation is changing. We know our gentle foster will do wonders for her. Lily is afraid of adults, but she is great with children and other dogs. She’s a beautiful girl and we’ll keep you updated on her progress.
Foster Update: 2/23/26
Lily is the dog for you if you are looking for one who likes to cuddle. If you sit down on the couch, you will find her head in your lap very quickly. She often puts her paws on the arm of the chair and rests her head on my shoulder. She is great with the other dogs in the house and enjoys running outside and playing with them.
She continues to have excellent manners without being restricted in the house. She waits patiently for her food and does not interfere with the feeding of the other dogs. She is learning to meet people and is beginning to trust them more each day.
Although she is only a year old, Lily is very calm and gentle in her approach. She is looking for a family with a confident dog to help her continue to make progress.

Foster Update: 1/21/26
Lily is getting ready for her new family. She bonds easily and looks for a chance to be close whenever possible. She can be found resting her head on foster mom's knee or laying across her feet. Lily is reliably potty trained and has not had any accidents. If she needs to go out, she comes and stares you down until you take her out.
She is crate trained and comfortable in the crate. She stands in the crate with her head looking out while she waits for foster mom to prepare her food dish. When she comes in from outside, she sits in the crate until her foster sisters are all in from outside. She does not rush her food dish or the door outside. Lily sits when her dish is placed before her until she is directed to eat. She sits when snacks come out and she takes them very gently.
Her foster mom is working on socialization, so Lily goes for car rides to the bank, the pharmacy and to McDonalds. This week, we will try a walk through our local pet store. Lily fits in well with her foster siblings and is respectful of their space. She has met children from 3 years old to 10years old and enjoyed the attention.
Lily is working on becoming a loved family member. She has accomplished so much in her short life, and she is ready to find her furever family.
