GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Welcome Goldie, first intake of 2026! She is a true gem! Social, friendly, sweet, and good on leash. She never stops smiling or wagging her tail. This sweet girl unfortunately tested positive for heartworm. She’s been vetted and will begin her road to recovery. Prayers for this wonderful girl and many thanks to her her foster home.

Foster Update: 1/12/25

Goldie is settling in beautifully to her new foster home. She’s enjoying life outside of the mill and learning what it means to live in a home with her humans, three cats, and two dogs, including a former GRIN pup. She’s quickly learning how to be a dog and is very much a Velcro girl, staying close to her foster family whenever she can.

She’s working on potty training and is catching on well. Goldie is comfortable in her crate, walks nicely on a leash, and did great in the car to and from the vet with no issues. She’s playful and curious and loves to follow her shadow (not chase it).

Due to her heartworm treatment, Goldie is currently on limited exercise. Despite that, she’s a happy, social girl who is thriving.  She’ll be ready to really run and play and possibly chase down and catch her shadow once her heartworm treatment is complete!
