GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Adoption pending!

Meet our hilarious new girl, Rosie! This gal wants to be a self walker; she likes to grab the leash in her mouth and trot a long with you. Rosie’s wonderful with other dogs, she loves her crate, and is just an all-around terrific girl. We know Rose’s gonna find a forever home very quickly.

Foster Update: 1/22/26

Rosie is a happy girl that loves attention & enjoys getting petter.  In return she gives kisses, follows you from room to room, & will come when called whether inside or out.  Due to Rosie’s history, she is still healing from a few sores & will need to wear the cone of shame for a short while longer.  However, she wears it like a champ & does not try to get it off.  When she gets a break from it & is outside, she loves to play in the snow & make snow angels.  Although she is fed twice daily, her foster family is still trying to figure out what she will eat & how much, as her current medications have a side effect of diminished appetite.  Rosie has an older foster sibling who she appears to like.  They are still getting to know one another, so no playing has ensued, but they enjoy sniffing & licking each other.  Rosie lokes taking walks & meeting people.  She sat contentedly when meeting a stranger while out & enjoyed the petting as they shared their stories with her.  Rosie has learned to go up & down the stairs & prefers to sleep in the bedroom with her foster family.  Rosie has the “golden grin” & heart to match.  She is going to make someone’s family complete!
