GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Meet Bolt, a sweet senior boy! He’s likely a Lab or Golden/ Lab mix but he’s 100% adorable! We know he was raised around lots of kids, dogs, and is very social. Bolt has been vetted and is on his way to a foster home. Once he has a nice bath, he’s gonna look so handsome.

Meet your new best friend! This sweet boy is 8 years old and looking for a loving home to spend his golden years.  He is the definition of a gentle soul, 71 pounds of pure love. Bolt is a goofy silly boy that just wants to be with his people.  He is great with other dogs, cat friendly, good with children, low key & easy going.   Bolt likes the simple things in life; slow walks, cozy naps, treats and cuddling up right next to you. If you are looking for a loyal companion with a big heart, Bolt is your guy!

Foster Update: 3/16/26

Bolt is a big, beautiful boy that looks like an English Labrador retriever. He has a block head, stocky body, big paws and weighs 71 pounds. He is so soft, especially his ears. He has the best personality, happy, goofy and so loving.  He loves to be near his foster mom & loved on. He gets along well with the 3 foster cats in the home & is good buddies with his foster brother, a 12-year-old Golden retriever. Bolt likes to sleep next to him and follows him around in the yard. He likes the company of another dog, but because he is so loving to humans, he would be fine to be the only dog.  Bolt always likes to be the center of attention & will get in between his foster mom & foster brother when he is around.  His foster family is happy to give him all the love & attention he craves.  Bolt only barks when he can’t see his foster mom.  He has been around children & has been very friendly, wagging his tail. He loves to go on leisurely walks; he is slower due to some arthritis in his right front leg. Bolt still has lots of energy, loves to play with toys and get treats. He comes right away when you call him & working on sit and stay. If you are looking for a loving, loyal best friend, Bolt is your guy. He is such an incredible, unique dog you will fall in love the moment you meet him!
