GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Needs to have a fenced environment and would benefit from obedience training.

Meet this doll of a gal, Penny! She’s from a local shelter relinquished by a breeder. We know she was raised in a family environment and came in with her bud, Bolt, so she’s dog-friendly! The vet said she’s “so so sweet” and will benefit from TLC. We know her foster family will bring her around.

Foster Update: 3/3/26

Hello friends! Penny here!I was so excited, but also a little anxious, the first week of being in my new foster home. Don’t worry, I’m finally starting to settle in, and my tail has not stopped wagging. I’ve heard that I’m such a sweet girl and I love following humans around everywhere trying to get all the pets and love! I enjoy carrying my toys around the house. I have a foster brother, who I don’t mind sharing with, but humans are still my favorite.I have gone on a few things called walks because someone (the vet) mentioned I may need to lose a few pounds, although I prefer to stay inside my comfy house! I am mostly potty trained, but I have had a few accidents. My foster mommy and I are hard at work, helping me become more independent and learning to relax. She said I’ve been catching on quickly, as I’ve been getting used to lots of day time naps and should be potty trained soon!
