GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Adoption pending!

Welcome to GRIN, Max! As our transporter said, “He is a big fluff of pure friendliness!” He walks on a leash, appears to be crate trained, and is a bit of a bull in a China shop. Despite that, he is sweet as can be, nice, and a big love bug. His adopter is going to be very happy!

Foster Update: 4/10/26

Max is sweet, loving, and very eager to be part of a family.  He is good with both adults and children. He loves living with other dogs, and plays well with them, but would probably do best in a home with other male dogs or small female dogs, as he is working on his "manners" around female dogs around his size. As for exercise, he is very large and very strong and does not fully understand how to properly walk on a leash and will need training to learn to do so. He may be better in a home with a large yard where he can get his exercise in, while he learns how to walk on leash. He absolutely loves being outside whether it's 25 or 75 degrees. He likes to take naps, chase balls, and loves playing with toys in the yard. He likes to bark at squirrels and birds, but does not have an actual prey drive, just natural doggy curiosity. When riding in the car, he pants and is nervous but has not been car sick.  He is house trained, but he has marked in the house a few times in the first 2 days but stopped after he was corrected. He is crated when his foster family is not home & for bedtime.  He is very good at going in, barking a few times when he first goes in, but then he settles down and doesn't make a peep. Max has a lot of love to give to his future family!
