GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Needs to have a fenced environment and would benefit from obedience training.

We are so lucky to have Emma with us! She came to us with an ectopic ureter. Our vet partner very kindly got her on the schedule immediately, and is assessing her. She will likely have to see a specialist. As with almost all puppies, she’s an absolute doll baby. She is a pretty English cream, and we know that when she’s ready for adoption, her new owner is gonna fall madly in love!

Foster Update: 4/30/26

Emma has been in her foster home for two weeks now and is starting to settle into a routine. She’s a sweet cuddly puppy who loves people. She likes to stay close and be part of the action. She’s a smart girl and is already picking up on the basics quickly such as sit, wait, and leave it. She loves her foster brothers and enjoys playing with them but also knows when to settle down and relax nearby. She’s even doing well with the resident cat and is learning to coexist respectfully.

Emma is getting the hang of potty training. She does have an ectopic ureter, which causes urinary leakage, so she currently wears diapers as part of her care. It doesn’t slow her down, she’s a happy, playful puppy who’s learning what it means to be part of a family.  Her foster family is managing her needs while she waits for her specialist consultation in August and is focused on keeping her comfortable and on a consistent routine.

She’s a great puppy who just needs a little extra support right now, and she’s handling it all in stride.
