GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Adoption pending!

Molly May is an owner surrender due to health issues with her previous owner. Molly May was loved very much. She LOVES to play ball and is great with kids. She will need some patience while she adjusts to her new home, but once settled, she will shine!

Foster Update:5/26/26

Molly Mae is a sweet, fiercely loyal, loving girl. She is skittish at first, but she warms up once she feels comfortable. Fostering Molly has been a joy. She quickly warmed up to us and follows her foster mom EVERYWHERE: even into the restroom or outside the shower.

Playing in the backyard is her absolute favorite activity. She loves to fetch the ball and play “keep away” with it. We try to play with her several times a day, every day. She doesn’t seem to tire easily. She also will bring us toys inside the house. She likes tug of war and walking around with the toys.

She is a cuddly girl and is happy to snuggle up on the couch in the evenings when we are reading or watching TV. She eats her meals & is treat motivated but not obsessed. She is extremely polite when taking a treat.

Walking on a leash has been problematic. She pulls and is extremely nervous. She is initially uncomfortable when meeting new people & will bark but will warm up quickly.

She is excellent at going outside to potty and has not had any accidents. She will cry the first few minutes she is in her crate, but she settles down. We have allowed her to sleep (uncrated) on a blanket next to our bed. She lays down as soon as I turn off the light and doesn’t budge or make any noise for the entire night. She is prompt with a 6 a.m. wake up call.

She loves our 13-year-old daughter and has warmed up to her friends. She has identified her foster mom as her favorite but will cuddle and interact with the other family members. She would be best suited for a family with older children.

Molly is a beautiful dog with a sweet disposition. She would be an excellent addition to the right family. She will need a home with a fenced backyard and individuals who are strong enough to manage her on a leash. She will be skittish at first but with patience and love she will relax.
