GRIN tries to make every effort to keep this page current and up to date. Please keep in mind that by the time you submit an application and are going through the approval process, some of dogs pictured below may already be in the process of meeting and being adopted by other approved applicants.

The average ages of our rescued Goldens are 6-10 years of age, however GRIN does occasionally receive younger dogs that are in need of a home.  If you are interested in adopting a young dog, please do not wait until you see one on our website to apply for adoption.  Our approval process takes approximately 2-4 weeks to complete and by the time you have been approved for adoption, the younger dog will have already been placed into a loving home. Please start the application process now so that you can be on a waiting list for when GRIN does have younger dogs available.

Thor came to us recently from an accidental litter. He’s a super boy, but he does have some medical issues. He had a tumor that was removed before coming to us and it is still causing him some problems. He also has a bit of a limp that we are also accessing. Thor is sweet, great with other dogs and children. Once our vet partners get him on the right path health-wise, he’ll go to a foster home to continue his journey. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Foster Update: 6/23/26

Hi there everyone, my name is Thor and I am a handsome one and a half year-old boy who came into GRIN‘s care with a big wound on my hind area that is healing very nicely. I get a Betadine soak on the wound twice a day for five minutes and I just lay there while it is treated, usually with one of my babies right next to me. I tend to be on the calm side for my age, but I do like to bark at foster mom for no reason at times and then other times I bark at her when I want to go out. My hind legs are ataxic, but that doesn’t stop me. I do need some guidance walking on a leash because I tend to pull. I am a happy boy, and I love attention and my babies (toys).
